HOT TIPS
Do you have a hot tip about course planning you would like to share with us? Contact us and we'll feature it on this page!
1.
Plan subjects across future semesters.
Some subjects will have prerequisites and/or are only offered in one semester. You might want to consider spreading your subject load across winter and summer intensives as well.
2.
Complete subjects in your topic area of interest.
Thinking of applying for a Professional Practice Unit (PPU) or Research Project? Check out the handbook's "highly recommended" courses in your stream of interest as some PPUs/ Research Projects will require you to complete them as prerequisites.
3.
Upskill with assessments.
Subjects that offer assignments that are beyond essay writing are great opportunities to obtain some practical skills. Try to select subjects with assessments that will help you graduate with a well rounded and diverse skill set. For example, the Evaluation Plan for HPE1 is a useful tool used in real world settings.
4.
Visit the MSPGH Student Community on Canvas.
On Canvas under the "MSPGH student community", you can access Course Planning Information. If you are unsure of what subjects to take, book a meeting with your Course Coordinator or Specialisation Coordinators. They are more than happy to have a chat with you and point you in the right direction. Make sure you fill out your Course plan before your meeting.
