Subject Description

"Epidemiology in Practice" teaches students to address health and public health issues using epidemiological methods. The course covers systematic review and meta-analysis through hands-on projects, leading to policy recommendations. Students will also learn and apply questionnaire development principles. In the second half, the focus shifts to evaluating the validity of questionnaires and tests, with discussions on the purpose and controversies of screening programs. Finally, the course explores natural experiments and their role in answering policy-relevant questions in public health, providing students with practical skills for real-world application.
